One-Day Workshop: Make Your Own Leather Handbag
I handcraft stylish leather accessories and would love to share my experience with you, my friends.
Join me for a unique workshop where you'll create your very own leather handbag. Together, we'll go through the entire process, from selecting the material to completing the final product.
I'll also explain how you can set up your own online store, take stylish photos of your products, and explore the possibilities of selling them not only at craft markets. You'll get valuable advice on where to source materials, tools, and many other tips I've acquired over the years.

Leather – A Timeless Material
- Learn about different types of leather and their properties
- Discover why leather is ideal for handbag making
- Learn how to choose the right type of leather for your project
Leather Crafting Tools
- Learn how to use leather crafting tools correctly
- Each participant will have access to all necessary tools for making their leather handbag
- Introduction to the tools you'll be using
Cutting Leather to the Handbag Template
- Together, we will prepare individual parts for your handbag
- Learn techniques and tools for precise cutting
- Learn how to cut leather using a paper template to achieve the desired shape
Leather Dyeing
- Learn how to achieve even and long-lasting dyeing
- Introduction to different types and shades of leather dye
- You'll practice dyeing on natural cowhide
- Your handbag pieces will be dyed before the workshop, based on your color selection
Leather Waxing
- Each participant will try waxing the leather themselves
- Learn about different types of wax and how to apply them
- I'll teach you how to wax dyed leather for durability and beauty
Edge Finishing
- Learn techniques for finishing edges to achieve a smooth and professional look
- Learn to use tools for trimming product edges
- Together, we'll finish the edges of all parts of your handbag
Leather Punching Before Stitching
- Together, we will prepare your handbag pieces for stitching
- Learn leather punching techniques
- Get familiar with tools for punching leather
Hand Stitching
- Together, we'll stitch the parts into the final handbag
- Learn the traditional saddle stitch
- Learn how to properly use needles and threads for leather
- I'll show you the basics of hand stitching leather, including various stitch types
The Final Product
- By the end of the workshop, each participant will take home their handmade leather handbag
- Learn how to finish the handbag, add closures, rivets, and other details
- I'll advise you on how to care for your leather handbag so it lasts for years

Workshop Schedule:
Saturday
8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Introduction to materials and tools
- We'll practice each process beforehand
- Go through every step of the production process
- Start making your leather handbag
1:00 PM - 1:30 PM – Lunch Break (optional, you may continue working if you prefer)
1:30 PM - 6:00 PM
- Continue working on your product
- I'll discuss how to market and sell your product
- Q&A on production, sales, and other processes
- Finalize your products
- A non-alcoholic bar and optional refreshment break will be available throughout the course

Please note, we'll be sharing the studio space with two cats, but they won't disturb our work. :)
